Need help with digital painting?

Posted by achiwo - September 14th, 2024

Hello guys!

I'm fairly new to NewGrounds, and i am happy to be here.

This is a brilliant community full of very taltented artists of all kind.

After some years dwelling on art sites more focused on portfolio showcasing, I am enjoying New Grounds quite a lot.

The art here is more heterogeneous, meaning everyone has a very different style and shine on their own.(❁´◡`❁)

All I wanted to say is, if anyone is looking for any help with digital painting. You can reach out to me on DM or in the comments, english or spanish.

Also, I will be posting a new painting later :D

Pretty amazing! For me, I'd say to also get the art books on the following movies: The Spider-Verse franchise, TMNT: Mutant Mayhem, and also Puss In Boots: The Last Wish. Also, comic artists like Jim Murray and Simon Bisley are also worth studying. These recources listed are to help you get started too.

the puss in boots artbooks is definitely something i want to get to.
The paintings from Zac Retz alone makes it worth it.
I have the first Spider Verse artbook and it is a masterclass in Design Principles for sure.
Back then, when i was enrolled in a videogame project, it made me realize i didnt need to fully render a picture with complex lighting to make it clear on the first read (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
I think some of those books may be available in Archive org ?
